Saw that Ontario Green Savings was advertising on Facebook that they were to get people The Ontario Government Energy Rebate Program. I contacted them and an e-mail came back to me that an appointment was set for Apr 12/22 to do a phone assessment. File a complaint with the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services if you think the company has broken the law in the Consumer Protection Act. Service Alberta’s Consumer Investigations Unit ordered Canadian Home Improvement Credit Corporation to stop direct selling until an appropriate business licence had been obtained.

He kept saying things about regulations and qualifications. Meanwhile I'm googling the company on my phone & found this post but I let it play out to see what else he had to say. Tried to repeat everything about saving me money & that I need the filter & I told him I'll look up more info on this carbon filter that you're telling me I need & if I do in fact need it, I'll give YOU a call. As he was leaving he goes "when your water heater bursts & floods your basement, make sure you get the carbon filter installed". When the next Enbridge bill came, we got charged for Air Purifier and water softener that was not even installed. We called OCHS, but they said we had 10 days to cancel and we did not, so we have to pay.

Enbridge told me not even to let them into my house. Aug 31/22 I wanted to pay off the lease of the tank so I e-mailed the company CHICC which is to whom I am paying. The company’s billing said I could buyout the heater and they would move to terminate the contract and discharge the Notice Of Security Interest. E into renting a tankless water heater giving me all the numbers I would save with this.

How those businesses take care of those complaints is what separates good businesses from the rest. We had 6 months free and they started it day of signing and not when it was in. Plus there was so many things I should of seen, good thing is it will never happen to anyone I Know or should be told. He said if not change I will shutdown everything. He showed my enbridge bill you paid every month you don't need to pay .

During that call, I mentioned the air conditioning system had been installed and ran in conjunction with the furnace and heat pump. He then asked me why we hadn’t replaced the air conditioner too, as it should have been included with the furnace at no extra charge! I asked him 3 times if there was no extra charge and that it was all covered by the one $104.99 monthly payment. The same crew from Toronto that that installed the furnace came back and switched the air conditioner on October 7/22.
We signed, then somebody called to confirm the new price and we were supposed to get another call within 10 days to do the final confirmation. We called OCHS and all they are saying is that they are not responsible for what all those guys were telling us, they are the contractors, and we confirmed the price . How could we know that the cancellation of the previous contracts were also a scam.
The company statistics seen here display two important pieces of information about the business. "Complaints Unresolved" tells how many complaints consumers have filed about the company on Scambook. "Unresolved Reported Damages"shows how much money has been lost by all of users who filed complaints against the company. Sorry I've been busy recently and haven't checked your posting for awhile. Thanks so much for your advice and suggestions, it's been very helpful to me to negotiate with the company, after several months' fight, eventually I got settled with them with a much more reasonable price. Since they stepped back a lot, I decided not to take further actions to waste my time and energy.
You should advise the business of your complaint by letter, email, or by phone before filing a complaint with us. We recommend writing to the business before you file a complaint with us. Whether you’re buying an appliance, signing up for a gym membership, shopping online, or renovating your home, your transaction is likely covered by a consumer protection law. Most workers don't even get paid their money. They just stay until they get their first pay check and leave.
Every year they increase the price of rental equipment and from what we were told , contracts of 15 years are not legal. I cannot make it any more clear that this is a huge mistake. Unless you live in a region with harsh water then you do not need a water softener. My parents were convinced into renting this for $38/ per month on a 120 month contract. Two people came to there door and insisted them on needed this water softener and my parents invited them inside. They did not explain how long the contract will be and what the penalties were.

Had new air conditioner installed by Ontario Consumers Home Services in 2009. They had a rep look at unit and all we got what was wrong from duct work to unit installed by electric company. What was not taken into consideration was the high electric bills we had. I am sure many have received the same experience with their services guys. Saeed maintains multiple websites, posts on Medium, YouTube, Reddit and other sites, and publishes press releases, presumably once again to push the news of the hit-and-run and other bad press down in Google’s results. Saeed Moravvej Torbati is a self-described serial entrepreneur, claiming to own a property management business and a couple of online lending businesses in addition to Ontario Green Savings. However, unlike the Ontario’s official copy, the 2 checkboxes are not clickable and the first one comes pre-checked, so the recipient can’t change it even if they wanted to or if it didn’t apply to them. All the recipient has to do to get a “cost neutral whole home combo filter” is complete the “work order application” attached.
